Maybelline Super Stay Pt1: Found my shade!

Hi everyone! So, guess what I did yesterday! I returned both of the Revlon Colorstay foundations that I bought this past weekend and went to KMart and picked this up!

So I wasn't quite sure what color to pick up at first, but I looked up some color swatches last night and decided to pick up Sand Beige. The color I was using was Classic Beige, and This color looked like it was just a little lighter version of that one.

I know that classic beige was not a perfect match for me, and this one isn't a perfect match either. But it is close enough and as long as I blend it well enough, it isn't that noticeable.

I took some pictures earlier, but I did not like how they turned out, and there are still some pictures that I need to take tomorrow when I wear this one again! So there will be a part two to this soon! ;) Gotta go to bed now!

Makeup Shout Out: Maybelline Super Stay

Just wanted to give a quick shoutout to my most beloved foundation!!!

Maybelline Superstay!

I totally did not take a picture earlier. Sorry!

I LOOOVE this foundation! The only things that upsets me is that the current color I own does not match me anymore and I have bought the Nude color, but it is too orange! Can someone help me and let me know if there is another color that could possibly match me? I'm around a NC25 right now. I haven't really looked in stores lately.

ON WITH THE PICTURES!

Does it not look so FLAWLESS!? I LOOVE how it looks on camera and in person. I love the lasting power as well, because I do not have flawless skin at all! LOL I am just sad because I can't wear it at the moment. Revlon Colorstay is my second favorite though! I do love it! But I love the Superstay more! I just like how it looks on me better, and the color matched me better before I got so pale. LOL!

okay, BEDTIME! Night, beauties!

Revlon Colorstay: The Struggle

I did some swatches earlier! And let me tell you...The Struggle is real....

Here are the three colors that I own.

Swatches.

So, obviously, if you were to choose the closest one to my color it would be the one to the left. But I can tell when I am wearing it for work that my face is much lighter than my neck. It looks too pink and lighter, whereas my neck looks more tan. It's darker and more yellow. So I am looking for a little darker/tanner/yellow color! I will try the third color (300 Golden Beige) tomorrow and see what the results are.

This is what 250 Fresh Beige looks like on my face:

DO YOU SEE THAT?! My face is too light! And I know it's not just the flash, because I took a video of myself and my face/neck comparison was the same!!! (Look at that redness around that nose! LOL)

So, I will try the more yellowish foundation tomorrow. I am excited about it! :)

In other news, I was planning on waxing earlier and guess what I did? Poured wax on my computer! >:( And That's because I am a dumb dumb! Humph!

This is the wax I wanted to try.It smells soooo goooood!!! I didn't try it. Because I was too busy taking my laptop apart and cleaning it.

Do you see the wax? It took me a long time to clean it all out! And I still don't think I got all of it still. haha!

It's much easier to see the wax on these keys.

Anyways, so I decided I wanted to cook again.

Scrambled eggs with tofu, green onions, and tomato. Mixed rice with seasoning.

Thai pumpkin soup

That's it for now! I hope you all had a good weekend!;)

Saturday Adventure pt. 2: Conclusion

So She had to take the Trax to meet up with me. I was waiting in the ghetto in the dark in my car for her last night getting a little uneasy. LOL It was not a good feeling, but it was worth it! This is what she gave me!

Urban Decay Smoked palette. A little dirty, but I sanitized everything I received last night!

 Urban Decay Vice 2 palette

I was very excited about this! I have the first one and it is nice to have the second one as well!

UD Ocho Loco 2 Eye Pencil Set

She also gave me this Mac Studio Fix Foundation in NW25. When I opened it, it was incredibly dirty. It was just covered in foundation! And she pretty much used up most of the foundation! There is maybe a little less than 1/3 of it left. Ugh. I'm going to have to give it back to her. It was too dark for me anyways. I mean, it would eventually match me when I start to tan in the summer, but I don't know how old this foundation is and I don't want to take the chance.

And then she gave me these brushes! She didn't even bother cleaning them though. I had to wash them last night. I threw a few of them away that I don't need, but the ones in this picture are the ones I'm keeping. They're nice! :)

So, I was satisfied with my swap last night, I should be getting my money today. Because I only gave her half the items last night. While driving home, I saw a Target and decided to stop in to grab some medicine. I also picked up some foundation, haha!

So, I already use the Revlon Colorstay foundation but the one I currently use is not my color. I have been using since around October on and off...but it just does not match me. I use the Normal/dry skin one in 250 Fresh Beige. I decided to try the other one instead because it's so hard to find the other one in the other colors! grrrrr!!!! I hope that my moisturizer will help in keeping my skin from getting dried up wearing this foundation. I hope I have no issues! I bought the colors 300 Golden Beige and 330 Natural Tan. We'll see which one matches me better! I will do swatches later! ;*

The one I currently use. A little too light for me though!

Can't end the post without food! This is what I had for lunch! honey and ginger Chicken Tender, mixed rice, and pickled radish! nom nom nom!

Saturday Adventure pt 1

My Saturday Adventure hasn't started yet. :'(

I am still waiting for this lady to hit me up! ugh! She said it wouldn't take long because her husband was coming home soon, but it's been THREE hours already! She should've told me he gets off at like four or whatever so that I wouldn't be sitting here wondering and waiting! ugh!

But anyways, thought I'd put a post up on me getting ready. This is my face this afternoon (since I got up at noon to get ready).

Before the makeup. I have gotten to pale, btw! And as you can see, I have some scars on my cheeks. And my hair ain't cute. LOL

Full face on, ready to go!

I think I clean up pretty well! haha Maybe I should add what makeup I used in this as well. I didn't think about it until now. If anyone is interested, I will! Or I might just add it up anyways just because I can. :p

Selfies before I munch on my pork roast!

MMMMMM! It was bomb! I'm going to have another bowl in a little bit! Had it with white and brown rice. I cooked it on low for about 9 hours total. I had to set an alarm this morning to get up and turn it off at around 5 a.m.!

Just Another Relaxing Friday

So, what is the first thing I did when I got home? Pass out, that's what. I slept until 6:30ish.

Currently, just sitting on the couch relaxing. Just ate, and I have some roast cooking right now in my slow cooker! :)

I added, pork roast, tomato juice, carrots, onions, garlic, cilantro, and some seasoning.  i didn't want to add too much! Should cook over night and I will have a delicious lunch and dinner tomorrow! ;)

I've been in such a soup mood for a week! So I am currently soaking half peas in water and will let them soak overnight as well! I am going to make ham and pea soup tomorrow!

In other news, my foot is almost completely better! I have to take it easy still. I went to the doctor yesterday to get it checked.

Hobbling to the clinic yesterday morning.

Waiting to be seen by the doctor. I was so excited because I wanted to show him that my toe has gotten much better and that I wanted to wear my boots again!!

Results: I got his blessing to wear my boot again! I told him that the cast I was wearing was actually hurting me more than helping me. It really was! It was making me walk a certain way (hobble around) and because of that, the muscle in the front of my leg was getting tight and hurting!

VOILA! No more dumb shoe cast! I was so excited!!!

I was so happy. LOL!

That is it for the night. I am going on an adventure tomorrow, though! And we will see what happens!!! I am doing a part trade/sell with this lady in Salt Lake City tomorrow. I am giving her a buttload of makeup that I don't use and don't plan on using in the future. She in return is paying me $75.00 with brushes and the Vice 2 Urban Decay palette with eyeliners. I am excited. LOL

This is what I'm trading with her. LOL A LOT of stuff!!!!!!! But I just don't need it! And instead of just letting it sit around, I'm selling it! lol It will be good for me, to just ween myself from makeup hoarding, you know? :)

Anyways, will have more to post tomorrow! I have some things in mind! ;)

Fixing my Essence Face Powder!

Hello!! So I finally got around to fixing one of my matte face powders! This is actually my FAVORITE face podwer! My second fave is the Rimmel Stay Matte powder in translucent. But since this one shattered, I have been stuck using the Rimmel one for a while! But I probably will be saving this Essence one for the summer because it works really well then!

Anyways! Here are the pictures! This is what it looked like shattered. I have no idea how it even broke to begin with! I don't recall ever dropping it!

Looking sad, right? :(

And this is how I fixed it!

Started off by placing a piece of  toilet paper over the powder and just gently crushing the powder into smaller pieces. I used the end of my toothbrush. haha

And then you should something like this! You can crush the powder smaller into finer pieces if you want, but I honestly did not want to put that much work into it. haha. I just shook it around until it was lying evenly in the compact.

Then I took some rubbing alcohol, poured some into the lid and poured what was in the lid into the compact. I didn't want to drown the compact in the liquid, but I kinda ended up doing that as seen below......

It's just swimming in alcohol!!!! LOL! I didn't mean to. You don't have to put so much, just enough to dampen it. But since I used a lot, I had to wait longer for it to dry. I just left it open and in my bathroom over night and during the entire day today and it turned out just fine!

VOILA! brand new! :) It's just a very thin layer of powder though. But I don't want to waste any of it! Although, it was pretty cheap, hehe. I would definitely recommend this powder. I know everyone is just now starting to notice the Rimmel Stay Matte powder, which I have been using since last summer, but eh, I prefer this one over that one. The Rimmel one didn't do as good a job at keeping my face shiny-free as this one did last summer! And I get really oily in the summer!

There you go! :)

Have any of you tried this powder? What are your thoughts on the Rimmel Stay Matte powder? If any of you have any thoughts or opinions on anything, pleas share! :)

NYX Foundation and My Toe

Today was not my day. haha. When I woke up this morning, I just felt nauseous. Got to see the doctor in the morning and all she did was give me more drugs. haha! That's not what I wanted! I want to know what is wrong with my foot and make it better! It is actually feeling a lot better today, but I'm not sure if it is because the narcotics and Motrin are working and have not faded yet or if I am actually getting better.

Since I had to go to the doctor this morning, decided not to put on my uniform first just in case I was just going to be sent straight home afterwards. And I decided to try out a different foundation that has been sitting around in my box of foundations.

I bought this NYX HD studio Foundation back in the summer. I never gave it much love though because the color I picked up was too light for me and my skin was pretty bad at the time and it did not cover up my acne well enough. Now, I am much lighter and it matches me pretty well and my skin isn't so bad anymore!

This color matched me better than the 04 sand beige. The 04 sand beige was too pink.

These are from this morning. Just woke up and my eyes are a little puffy. haha! This is how I do my makeup for work. Just foundation, a little bit of blush, bronzer, drawn in eyebrows, and mascara (I didn't do my eyelashes in these pics yet though).

With flash

I like how the foundation looked this morning. I took one picture in flash when I got home earlier around 1 p.m.

I thought it looked good all day. It's a good light foundation. I like it for work. :)

When I got home from work, I had to soak my foot in epsom salt and warm water. I could not handle all that walking today!

Bought this at Rite Aid for $1.99

Soaking my worn out foot.

What I have to wear to work. LOL

I had an OK day today. After I came home from work, I just passed out. And my foot is feeling a lot better.

This was me after I got done at the clinic. I was so sad I had to go back to work because I knew my foot was going to be in pain. lol

Tomorrow will be a better day! (I hope! I just want my toe to be better.)
